Welcome to the course website of Genetic Diversity: Analysis. This website is part of the course material and should help you with links, downloads, exercises and more.

We would like to help you to get started with the very basics in what we call essential biocomputing. For us biology is still the main aspect but we will focus on understanding and using computational tools to analysis genomic data obtained from next generation sequencing platforms. The first two parts (#1 & #2) will introduce the most basic tools (e.g. command line and R) needed to handle your data. Part #3 & #4 will introduce you to next generation sequencing (NGS) and the very first steps of data manipulations. The remaining parts (e.g. #5 - #9) will provide an overview of different applications of NGS. Our goal is it to strike a good balance between the theoretical aspects and exercises.
